WEC standard "AB" flanged heater has a flange diameter of 4-1/2", but do you need a more compact flange? Consider our Compact "AB" Series of Flanged Heaters. WEC offers as small as 3-1/2" diameter flanges for 2" pipe and as small as 4" diameter flanges for 2-1/2" pipe. For use with externally mounted thermal controls, the compact "AB" series provides the most size-efficient heater possible. AB Flanged Immersion Heaters & Adaptors We’ve designed many adaptors that make flanged mounting an excellent alternative to screw plug process heaters.

In a few easy steps, WEC’s “AB” tank adaptors converts your screw plug heater application into a flanged heater application.

For existing Screw Plug replacements:


Screw Plug Heater Replacements Our fixed screw plug adaptor has a flange at one end and is threaded at the other. Just remove the existing screw plug heater, screw in the adaptor, insert the "AB" flanged heater, then simply tighten the bolts with a ratchet or box wrench.

Our swiveling screw plug adaptor takes this one step further. It has a flanged ring that rotates allowing you to position the conduit opening to the exact location needed.

For new tank designs,


Fixed Tank Adaptor for Flanged Heater Our fixed tank adaptor welds right to the tank and accommodates a flanged heater.

We also have the swiveling tank adaptor that you can weld directly to your tank and it rotates a full 360° allowing you to position the conduit opening to wherever you need it. TRY THAT WITH A SCREW PLUG!

Heater Replacement Made Easy

Flanged Immersion Heater from Screw Plug AdaptorThis heater features a compact 4" diameter flanged heater mated with a screw plug adaptor using six bolts. It's designed to convert your screw plug application to a flanged application for ease of future replacement. This drawing shows a rugged explosion resistant enclosure with multiple conduit openings. Threaded tank adaptors are available for 2", 2-1/2", and 3" pipe.

Swivel Tank Adaptor for Immersion HeaterInstallation is made easy using a swivel tank adaptor that allows exact positioning of the conduit opening. Our general purpose enclosure and external thermostat knob, as shown, offer ruggedness and ease of changing temperature settings. Swivel tank adaptors are available for 2", 2-1/2", and 3" pipe.

The Ultimate in Compactness

Compact Flanged HeaterThis heater features a compact 3-1/2" diameter flanged heater mated with a fixed tank adaptor using four bolts. Thermostats are mounted remotely as this compact enclosure and flange are designed for the tightest of spaces or where several heaters are used in tandem. Compact flanges and tank adaptors are available for 2", 2-1/2", and 3" pipe.
